Strasbourg haul: Chanel, Marc Jacobs, Urban Decay

This is the last post from Strasbourg edit. Sorry for taking so long to put it up, but I hope the wait was worth it!

The moment I got to the airport I rushed to the tax free counter to grab a new pressed powder compact as I couldn’t pack my Laura Mercier Loose setting powder with me. I opted for the Chanel Natural Finish Pressed powder in the colour #20 Clair-Translucent. The packaging is simple yet elegant, a sleek black compact container with the iconic Chanel logo embossed on it. It comes with a cute little black velvet bag, a mirror, and a make up sponge inside. The texture is really silky and sheer. I haven’t made up my mind on it yet, but for a everyday touch up it’s a great companion in your bag!

As my Chanel Vitalumiere Aqua is slightly running out I decided to try out a new foundation. The hardest of it is choosing a right shade. I’m really pale with a yellow undertone, but most of light foundations are usually with pink undertone or then they are not light enough. So finding a colour match is a struggle. And I’m quite positive that I finally found a match! This Marc Jacobs Genius Gel Super Charged Foundation in #10 Ivory is perfect! It is as light as I am and with a yellow undertone. Couldn’t be any happier with the colour match! I think I need to commit a whole seperate blog post for this beauty!

And oh my! Besides finding a foundation that matches my skin tone I also found a concealer, which is as light as I need. It doesn’t crease on me and it is super full coverage! Yes, it’s the Urban Decay Naked Skin Weightless Complete Coverage Concealer! Within two years I have tried out so many different concealers and had so many disappointments, but this one is amazing. I’m going to do a post on comparing it to my MAC and Laura Mercier concealers. You just need to see the difference it makes.

Chanel Rouge Coco Ultra Hydrating  lipstick in Adrienne was my last purchase in Strasbourg. I was actually in the hunt for the Marc Jacobs lipstick in Understudy. But everywhere where I went it was sold out. I was so devastated and decided that I’ll buy this one instead. Anna from  viviannadoesmakeup.com has raved about it, so obviously I had to have it! The formula is hydrating and it glides easily on the lips. It’s a browny-beige kinda nude, quite a grown-up one. It suits with whatever makeup style, so it’s very easy to pair with.

Have you tried any of these products?
