In March I won Amelia Liana‘s Snapschat giveaway. I couldn’t believe my eyes at first. It was so weird for me – when I saw her snaps about these products, I was like: Yep, I want this and that, and somehow I was sure that I’m going to win this time. It was a weird feeling and even weirder when I got my Youtube notice. I was shocked. I couldn’t contain my emotions. After months of struggling with the post offices I managed to get my package today. And I decided to share the products with you too.
Real Techniques Limited Edition Cheek and Lip Set – It’s a limited edition set that Real Techniques classifies as finishing brushes. Comes with 3 brushes – a lip brush, limited edition cheek brush and a duo-fiber contour brush. The handles are metallic intense pink with black accents. I really like the new shade as it’s way more vibrant than the original pink shade that the brand uses. They have 100% Cruelty-Free soft bristles that wash easily with absolutely no shedding or splitting issues.
The duo-fiber contour brush is a brush type that I’ve been wanting for a while. The longer white bristles pick up the right amount of product whilst the shorter black bristles gently buff it in. I’m not sure if I’ll use it for contour tho, I find it’s better for applying blush and powder. But that’s only my opinion. The limited edition cheek brush is my new favourite brush. It’s dense, soft and fluffy. The shape is perfect for applying bronzer all over the face and helps to contour the face beautifully. Really enjoying it, sad that it’s limited edition brush as it’s so damn good. And as for the Lip Brush – this is really something I need to get into. I am a bit lazy when it comes to applying lipstick, so I want to start practicing with this one to get a more perfected look.
Bobbi Brown Nude Finish Illuminating Powder in Nude – this was one of those products that made me super excited about the giveaway. I’ve always been interested of Bobbi Brown shimmer bricks, but when the new illuminating powders came out I changed my mind. Something drawned me towards the illuminating powders. They seemed much more natural and subtle than the shimmer bricks.
The Nude Finish Illuminating powder contains 6 swatches of complimentary nude hues which are subtle enough to be used all over as a finishing powder or built up on the high points of the face as a sheer highlighter. It gives a sheer healthy radiance, a lit-from-within glow which doesn’t look fake or metallic.
The shade Nude combines slightly warmer apricot tones which makes it great for a medium skin tone or for those who find their skin looks ashy or dull. The peach tones really do lift the skin tone and give you a healthy glow. At first I wasn’t sure if it will suit me as I’m quite pale and like to wear highlighters with a cool undertone. But after the first try my fears were gone. I really want to try it out as a finishing powder as well to give you my full review on this product.
Clarins’ Instant Light Natural Lip Perfector in #07 Toffee Pink Shimmer – This was the second product in the giveaway that made my heart jump. Clarins’ released two new colours to their Natural Lip Perfector collection this spring and Toffee Pink Shimmer was the shade that caught my eye. Now you perhaps understand how bizarre the whole situation was for me. I saw all the products that I’ve been eyeing out and by luck I turned out to be the winner. Geez, I still can’t get over it 😀
Clarins’ Natural Lip Perfectors are well known as they are amazing. They hydrate, smoothe and make your lips look fuller. Sheer, but have enough colour to wear alone or to complement your favourite lip shade. I wouldn’t say that I’m a huge gloss lover, but after buying my first one I find myself wearing it on most of my days. Toffe Pink Shimmer differs from other Lip Perfector shades, it’s a really nice mauvy-pink shade, a your lips but better shade. So for me it was a must have.
If you’ve never tried these before then now is the time people! They’re practically a beauty junkie’s rite of passage.
Special thanks to Amelia who arranged the giveaway and put together so great products! Go and check her YouTube channel out here, she’s a dime!
